It aims to spark collaboration and chart practical steps for the adoption of LC3 technology in the region. \nHosted by the LC3 initiative\, under Professor Karen Scrivener and her research team\, this event will gather Ethiopia’s key stakeholders – government officials\, academics\, and cement producers – to explore the potential of LC3\, an innovative supplementary cementitious material (SCM) enabling low-carbon\, high-performance construction. \nEthiopia\, one of Africa’s fastest-urbanizing nations\, faces rising demand for housing and infrastructure alongside a strong climate commitment. Under its Climate-Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) strategy and updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)\, the government targets a 64% emission reduction by 2030 compared to a business-as-usual scenario.
