On 16 December 2020, we will have our first fully online LC3-Information Day in collaboration with INTERCEM.
The highlight of this event are EXCLUSIVE first looks at the CIMPOR Global Holdings' LC3 production projects in the Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Kribi, Cameroon.
The acceptance of limestone calcined clay cement (LC3) as a viable, widely available and commercially accepted supplementary cementitious material is likely to be one of the most important cement industry trends of the 2020s. The need to reduce clinker content in cement blends – and, by extension, concrete is clear. The drive toward a net-zero industry is being led by the multi-nationals as well as national and international regulators and pressure groups meaning that the industry must find ways of producing more cement per ton of clinker.
While awareness of LC3 benefits has grown over recent years, the level of knowledge of the product, its applications and the required technology vary greatly amongst producers.
