The LC3 Project was pleased to welcome an Indian media delegation to the Laboratory of Construction Materials (LMC) at EPFL on 24 June, 2026. The visit, organized by EPFL Mediacom, provided an opportunity for journalists to learn first-hand about the scientific principles behind LC3 technology and its role in reducing the carbon footprint of cement and concrete.

We believe such exchanges are highly valuable in strengthening the connection between scientific research and public communication, while increasing awareness of sustainable construction solutions among a broader audience.

Following the visit, Pallava Bagla, Senior Science Editor at NDTV, published a feature highlighting the successful deployment of LC3 at the Noida International Airport, India’s first large-scale infrastructure project to use LC3. The report also featured interviews with Prof. Karen Scrivener and members of the EPFL research team, demonstrating how international scientific collaboration is translating into real-world climate solutions.
