At the recent LC3 Days in Türkiye, our discussions on the future of sustainable cement were complemented by a holographic presentation that demonstrated our commitment to constant innovation in sustainability.

Over the past weeks, two major LC3 days took place in Türkiye:

16 October – Türkçimento Cement Industry Meeting (Ankara)

Prof. Scrivener engaged deeply with Türkiye’s key cement industry actors, sharing insight on the LC3 technology potential, with a strong emphasis on the high suitability of Türkiye for large-scale implementation. Moreover, detailed technical discussions laid the foundation for fruitful collaborations. Thank you to everyone who made this event so inspiring!

5 November – CUSCIT’25 Cement Olympics  (Antalya)

Three LC3 pioneers — Prof. Shashank Bishnoi, Prof. Fernando Martirena and Prof. Karen Scrivener — delivered comprehensive presentations, covering everything from the fundamental chemistry behind the technology to its implementation in today’s real-world applications. A big thank you once again to the organizers for making this possible.

But it wasn’t just their words that captured the audience’s attention…

Here’s where the magic — not-so magic — happened

Prof. Scrivener couldn’t attend in person, so we brought her to the stage as a hologram.

The result? A high-tech, fully immersive and highly realistic hologram talk. This highlights two key lessons:

  • High-tech solutions can bridge distances and amplify impact.
  • Low-carbon approaches extend beyond our view even presentations can be environmentally responsible without compromising quality, helping busy academics reduce their carbon footprint in the future.

LC3 keeps combining innovation with sustainability and collaboration, pushing for more action today, to build a better tomorrow.
